Bubblegum Brains ("we", "our", or "us") built Sticker Star as a free app for creating and sharing custom WhatsApp sticker packs. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
By using Sticker Star, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information you provide
- Photos and videos you select from your device library to create stickers.
- Sticker pack names, emoji associations, and text overlays you add.
- Sticker packs you choose to publish to the public Discover feed.
2.2 Information collected automatically
- Usage data — which features you use (e.g. sticker creation, background removal) to improve the app experience.
- Device information — device model, operating system version, and app version, used for crash reporting and compatibility.
2.3 Information we do NOT collect
- We do not require account registration or collect your name, email, or phone number.
- We do not access your camera directly — only photos/videos you explicitly select.
- We do not read your WhatsApp messages or contacts.
- We do not track your location.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To process images and videos locally on your device to create stickers.
- To store your sticker packs in our cloud database (Supabase) when you publish them to the Discover feed.
- To display community sticker packs in the Discover section.
- To improve app performance and fix bugs.
4. Data Storage and Third Parties
Sticker packs you publish to the Discover feed are stored in Supabase, our backend provider. Supabase stores data on secure servers. You can review Supabase's privacy practices at supabase.com/privacy.
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We do not use advertising SDKs or analytics platforms that profile you across apps.
5. Local Storage
Your private sticker packs, preferences, and settings are stored locally on your device using SQLite. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly publish a sticker pack. Uninstalling the app will delete all locally stored data.
6. Permissions
- Photo Library — to let you select photos and videos for sticker creation. We only access files you explicitly choose.
- Internet Access — to load the Discover feed and upload sticker packs you choose to publish.
7. Children's Privacy
Sticker Star is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Delete any sticker pack you have published to the Discover feed at any time from within the app.
- Delete all local app data by uninstalling the app.
- Contact us to request deletion of any data associated with content you have published.
9. Data Retention
Published sticker packs remain in our database until you delete them or request removal. Local device data is retained until you uninstall the app or clear its data.
10. Security
We use industry-standard practices to protect data transmitted to our servers, including HTTPS encryption. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last Updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
