Zloop is a local, on-device AI companion app. We do not collect, transmit, or sell any personal data. Everything Zloop does happens entirely on your device.
1. Who We Are
Zloop is developed and maintained by MammothDevs. Zloop is an animated AI eye overlay for Android that reacts to your phone activity, listens for its wake word, and interacts with you through sounds and speech — all locally on your device.
2. What Data We Collect
We collect no personal data. Zloop does not:
- Create or require a user account
- Store your name, email, phone number, or any identifiers
- Send any data to MammothDevs servers or third-party servers
- Use analytics, crash reporting SDKs, or advertising SDKs
- Access your contacts, messages, photos, or files
- Record or store audio recordings
✓ Zloop does not share any data with anyone, ever. All processing happens on your device and stays on your device.
3. Permissions We Request & Why
Zloop requires the following Android permissions to function. Each permission is used strictly for the stated purpose and nothing else.
4. On-Device Speech Recognition
Zloop uses Android's built-in SpeechRecognizer API to detect the wake word "Hey Zloop" and process voice commands. This API is part of the Android operating system and may use Google's cloud speech services depending on your device settings and configuration.
MammothDevs does not receive, store, or process any audio from your device. If you are concerned about Google's processing of speech data, you can review Google's privacy policy separately.
5. Data Storage
Zloop stores minimal preference data locally on your device only, including:
- Your selected skin / eye style
- Feature toggle preferences (voice on/off, app reactions on/off, etc.)
- Calibration settings (eye size and position)
This data is stored using Android's local DataStore and never leaves your device.
6. Third-Party Services
Zloop does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. Zloop does not use Firebase, Mixpanel, Amplitude, Meta SDK, or any similar services.
The only external system involved is Android's SpeechRecognizer, which is an OS-level service managed by Google, not MammothDevs.
7. Children's Privacy
Zloop is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. Since we collect no personal data from any user, no special risk applies, but parents should supervise app usage as with any software.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of Zloop after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
